By Design or Coincidence?

“www” is the acronym for the world wide web and is normally used as the prefix, or first node of the internet domain names.

The ancient Hebrew and Greek alphabets do not use separate characters or alphabets to represent numbers and letters. Letters are also used to represent numbers, so each letter is also a numerical value. The Hebrew equivalent of our “w” is the letter “vav” or “waw.” The numerical value of vav is 6. So the English “www” transliterated into Hebrew is “vav vav vav,” which is the numerical equivalent of 666. This means “www” relates to the number of the beast identified by the Apostle John, I am not saying this is the number but it is interesting how these numbers and letters work out.

Furthermore, the term “vav” literally means “hook, peg, or nail,” and the shape of the number 6 actually does resemble a hook. This insight reveals that the Internet is literally “hooking” everyone in the world into accepting the future system of the beast.

The Internet has already created the new “plain of Dura” that the Antichrist will use to set up his image for worship, just as Nebuchadnezzar did before. But that’s not all, because many of the screens in our lives are not just watched passively. We have already been hooked into using them interactively. We use converging communications technologies for all sorts of services at work and play (word processing, engineering design, production control, entertainment, online shopping, banking and financial services, travel arrangements, etc.) or for different forms of security and protection from terrorism and anarchy (cameras, embedded sensors, video alarms, etc.)

Today, all types of situations and events – public, private, intimate, secret – can now be viewed by everybody on the planet, from everywhere on the planet, all at the same time. All of the people, the nations, and the languages can link together to watch events on the global stage, with an unlimited variety of choices. In the Age of Screens, people have become more dependent on communications technology than ever before for their entire livelihood.

But behind the screens – behind the scenes – a technological paradox is evolving: the expanding integration of communications tools that serve people today will control them tomorrow.

After the collapse of the global economy, the Antichrist will begin his reconstruction initiatives. One of those initiatives will be to seize absolute control of all communications and media broadcasting under the mandate of security from terrorism and anarchy in a world of chaos. Overnight, the same World Wide Web that was once use to provide services will be used to control services provided. At that moment, the Internet will be use to “peg” and scrutinize everyone in the world through the system of the Beast.

Jeff Foxworthy Speaks Out!

While being the emcee of the 6th Annual CMT Music Awards, Jeff Foxworthy made the following comments…

“…why I like country music and doing this show so much and this is what I came up with.

I like country music because it’s about the things in life that really matter. It ain’t about bragging about how you are going to mess somebody up or how somebody ain’t respecting you. It’s about love, family, friends, with a few beers, a cheap woman, and a two-timing many thrown in for spice.

It doesn’t take political sides even on things as ugly as war. Instead it celebrates the brave men and women who go to fight ‘em, the price they pay to do it, and the longing we have for them to return home to the ones they love.

It’s about KIDS and how there ain’t nothing like them. I get tired of hearing about how bad kids are today because there are a lot of great kids out there that just need somebody to love them and believe in them. Country folks love their kids and they will JACK you up if you try to mess with them

People in country music don’t forget the people that allow them to do what they do for a living. They sign autographs and they take pictures with the fans because they know without ‘em most of us entertainers would be getting a lot dirtier in the course of our workday. We are thankful that the people want to hear the songs and jokes that we write.

Country music doesn’t have to be politically correct. We sing about God because we believe in Him. We’re not trying to offend anybody but the evidence that we have seen of Him in our small little lives trumps your opinion about whether or not He exists.

We love country music because it touches us where we live. It’s about Mommas and when they were hot, and when they are unappreciated and when they were dying. It’s about Daddys and the difficulties they have sometimes in telling the people that they work so hard to protect and provide for how they feel about them.

Country music is about new love and it’s about old love. it’s about getting drunk and it’s about getting sober. It’s about leavin’ and it’s about comin’ home. It’s real music, sung by real people, for real people. The people that make-up the backbone of this country. You can call us rednecks if you want, we’re not offended because we know what we’re all about.

We get up and go to work, we get up and go to church, and we get up and go to war when necessary. All we ask for is a few songs to carry us along the way and that’s why I love this show. Because it ain’t some self-important Hollywood-hype where the winner is decided by somebody else. On this show, YOU decide who goes home with a trophy and YOU get to dance and sing along with the people that bring you the songs of your life.”

Write on Andy Rooney!

Rumor going around is that Andy Rooney said on “60 Minutes” a few weeks back:

I don’t think being a minority makes you a victim of anything except numbers.. The only things I can think of that are truly discriminatory are things like the United Negro College Fund, Jet Magazine, Black Entertainment Television, and Miss Black America. Try to have things like the United Caucasian College Fund, Cloud Magazine, White Entertainment Television, or Miss White America; and see what happens…Jesse Jackson will be knocking down your door.

Guns do not make you a killer. I think killing makes you a killer. You can kill someone with a baseball bat or a car, but no one is trying to ban you from driving to the ball game.

I believe they are called the Boy Scouts for a reason, which is why there are no girls allowed. Girls belong in the Girl Scouts! ARE YOU LISTENING MARTHA BURKE ?

I think that if you feel homosexuality is wrong, it is not a phobia, it is an opinion.

I have the right “NOT” to be tolerant of others because they are different, weird, or tick me off.

When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in cities where 70% of the population is black, that is not racial profiling; it is the Law of Probability.

I believe that if you are selling me a milkshake, a pack of cigarettes, a newspaper or a hotel room, you must do it in English! As a matter of fact, if you want to be an American citizen, you should have to speak English!

My father and grandfather didn’t die in vain so you can leave the countries you were born in to come over and disrespect ours.

I think the police should have every right to shoot you if you threaten them after they tell you to stop. If you can’t understand the word “freeze” or “stop” in English, see the above lines.

I don’t think just because you were not born in this country, you are qualified for any special loan programs, government sponsored bank loans or tax breaks, etc., so you can open a hotel, coffee shop, trinket store, or any other business.

We did not go to the aid of certain foreign countries and risk our lives in wars to defend their freedoms, so that decades later they could come over here and tell us our constitution is a living document; and open to their interpretations.

I don’t hate the rich I don’t pity the poor

I know pro wrestling is fake, but so are movies and television. That doesn’t stop you from watching them.

I think Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny he made and continue to make more. If it ticks you off, go and invent the next operating system that’s better, and put your name on the building.

It doesn’t take a whole village to raise a child right, but it does take a parent to stand up to the kid; and smack their little behinds when necessary, and say “NO!”

I think tattoos and piercing are fine if you want them, but please don’t pretend they are a political statement. And, please, stay home until that new lip ring heals. I don’t want to look at your ugly infected mouth as you serve me French fries!

I am sick of “Political Correctness.” I know a lot of black people, and not a single one of them was born in Africa ; so how can they be “African-Americans”? Besides, Africa is a continent. I don’t go around saying I am a European-American because my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather was from Europe . I am proud to be from America and nowhere else

And if you don’t like my point of view, tough…

I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG, OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA , AND TO THE REPUBLIC, FOR WHICH IT STANDS, ONE NATION UNDER GOD, INDIVISIBLE, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!

I was asked to send this on if I agree or delete if I don’t. It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore I have a very hard time understanding why there is such a problem in having “In God We Trust” on our money and having “God” in the Pledge of Allegiance. Why don’t we just tell the 14% to BE QUIET!!!

The fact of the matter is that this is one of those Urban Legends items that seems to work its way around through emails and the such.

Rooney addressed the issue in 2003, saying:

About a year ago, I became aware of a . . . serious theft of my name and it is so hurtful to my reputation that it calls for legal action against the thief. Hundreds of people have written asking if I really wrote the 20 detestable remarks made under my name that have had such wide circulation on the Internet.

Some of the remarks, which I will not repeat here, are viciously racist and the spirit of the whole thing is nasty, mean and totally inconsistent with my philosophy of life. It is apparent that the list of comments has been read by hundreds of thousands of Americans, many of whom must believe that it accurately represents opinions of mine that I don’t dare express in my column or on television. It is seriously damaging to my reputation.

Mr. Rooney disclaimed the piece again in his 60 Minutes segment of 23 October 2005, saying of it:

There’s a collection of racist and sexist remarks on the Internet under a picture of me with the caption ‘ANDY ROONEY SAID ON 60 MINUTES.’ If I could find the person who did write it using my name I would sue him.

Finally, I’m not posting this to defam Mr. Rooney in anyway. Hey, even if he didn’t say it I’m sure there are many of us that wished he had and would love to say it ourselves on National Television. Unfortunately we do not have access to that forum and must leave it to our own solely owned platforms.

Cartoons & Religion

While the rest of the world reacts as immaturely as the cartoons they are reacting to, I took the time to reflect on my true feelings over this issue.

While I am a strong supporter of Freedom of Speech, I believe there is a point at which that freedom is restricted. Obviously the courts have ruled that libel and defamation are not allowed under Freedom of Speech. There”s also a limit to what we as a culture will accept as appropriate when it comes to how we talk to children, local police authorities, etc.

You just can”t scream “Bomb” in the middle of an airport, or restaurant, even your own home, without being required to take responsibility for your actions. The same is true with cartoons and caricatures that the Press has deemed that they can create and publish under the guise of Freedom of Speech or Freedom of the Press. Just as there is a requirement for responsible communication under Freedom of Speech, there is also an expectation of responsible conduct within the Press.

Before any media source publicizes a news article, editorial, cartoon, or caricature they must be expected to do so with responsibility. It is obvious from the uproar that has occurred over the caricatures of Mohammed that have been published that they were not an example of responsibility within media. Any editor worth his salt, aware of the world situation, would have investigated the possible ramifications of publishing such material. The lack of that research or irresponsible use of research that was done, resulted in insulting and degrading items to be published.

Now we stand before the Islamic Nation, and yes, it is we, the non-Muslims of the world, with mud on our faces. When do we, as a civilized culture, grow up and realize that our actions are many times ill-thought and disrespectful.
